The targeted focus of our organization always has been and always will be increasing awareness, cultivating conversations, and providing a culturally specific approach to reducing the infant mortality rate in black babies. This week we had the unique opportunity to partner with First Year Cleveland in hosting a #WaveOfLight Naming Ceremony at the Cleveland Botanical Garden. During this ceremony a candle was lit for each baby we've lost to this crisis of infant mortality over the years. We are grateful for the continuous prayers and support of all of the agencies, organizations, and community partners who have supported this event and others we've had this year. #BattleForOurBabies #ClevelandMoms #WaveOfLightCle #WaveOfLight2018

What could save the lives of MORE black babies than breastfeeding? Reducing prematurity. Reducing maternal complications of pregnancy. Promoting early prenatal care. Making sure black women and their babies have access to high risk care. Reducing bed sharing. #infantmortality
